CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICTS, 2002-2010

  • The following boundary description of congressional election districts refers to election districts, wards, and precincts signify geographical boundaries as they existed on April 1, 2000. These reflect Maryland's congressional election districts that governed elections from 2002 to 2010. They were enacted by the General Assembly in 2002 (Chapter 340, Acts of 2002; Code Election Law Article, secs. 8-701 through 8-709).

    1ST CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICT
    2000 Population: 662,062
    Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Worcester & Somerset Counties; & parts of Anne Arundel, Baltimore & Harford Counties, including:

    2ND CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICT
    2000 Population: 662,060
    Parts of Anne Arundel, Baltimore & Harford Counties, & Baltimore City, including:

    3RD CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICT
    2000 Population: 662,062
    Parts of Anne Arundel, Baltimore & Howard Counties, & Baltimore City, including:

    4TH CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICT
    2000 Population: 662,062
    Parts of Prince George's & Montgomery Counties, including:

    5TH CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION DISTRICT
    2000 Population: 662,060
    Calvert, Charles & St. Mary's Counties; & parts of Anne Arundel & Prince George's Counties, including:
