Former Assistant Dean, School of Medicine, The Johns Hopkins University. Former Vice-President, The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President, Intralytix, Inc., 1998-2001 (chair, board of directors, 2001-14). Former director, XLHealth Corporation (past member, medical advisory board). President, Wildfowl Trust of North America, Inc. Chair, Oyster Recovery Partnership; Board of Trustees, Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. Chair, Board of Directors, Family Health International (former chief executive officer). In May 2007, the Northern Central Railroad Trail was renamed the Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail. For twenty-one miles, it runs north from Cockeysville in Hunt Valley to Maryland's border with Pennsylvania.
