Born in Cumberland, Maryland, January 5, 1951. Attended Bishop Walsh High School, Cumberland, Maryland; University of Maryland, paralegal certificate; Frostburg State University, B.A. (political science), M.B.A. Construction project manager. Member, Democratic State Central Committee, 2007-10. Vice-Chair, Legislative Commitee, Maryland Municipal League, 2009-13. Member, Frederick Arts Council; Golden Mile Alliance. Married; two children.
