DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION

The Department of Parks and Recreation is headed by the Director of Parks and Recreation. The Director is responsible for the organization and conduct of recreation programs and the operation of parks, playgrounds, and other recreational facilities. The Director encourages the development of cooperative programs and joint use of facilities with the County Board of Education (Code Local Government Article, secs. 1-601 through 1-611; County Charter, sec. 409; County Code, secs. 185-1 through 185-22)
