Public Safety, Operations, and Citistat was restructured as Emergency Management and Public Safety in Sept. 2012.

Deputy Chief for Emergency Management and Public Safety was responsible for three offices: Criminal Justice; Emergency Management; and Information Technology.

Mayor formed Heroin Treatment and Prevention Task Force in Oct. 2014. Task Force's four work groups focused on neighborhood engagement, practice standards, data collection, and access to care.

In July 2015, Task Force was to submit its report.

Created in July 2009 in response to burning death of a dog named Phoenix, Mayor's Anti-Animal Abuse Task Force was to make recommendations on ending animal cruelty and dogfighting in Baltimore.

In its final report of July 30, 2010, Task Force recommended creation of a commission to carry on its work.

MAYOR'S COUNCIL ON MINORITY & WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES

Established by the Mayor on July 18, 2012, the Advisory Council on Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises reviews and evaluates practices of the Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development, and makes recommendations to the Mayor and the Office for improvements.

Appointed by the Mayor, twenty-three members serve on the Council.

By Jan. 15, 2013, Council was to report its findings to Mayor.

In Jan. 2011, Task Force on Baltimore City Public/Private Development Financing Efforts was convened by City Council Member Carl Stokes. Task Force charge was to review Baltimore's process for awarding and then monitoring tax increment financing (fits) and payment in lieu of taxes (pilots). Task Force also was to consider whether these "tifs" and "pilots" were being committed at expense of neighborhood priorities.

Report submitted Oct. 2011.
