Died in Edmonson Heights, Baltimore, Maryland, July 9, 1990.

In 2000, the Frederick L. Dewberry, Jr., Post Office Building at 1001 Frederick Road, Baltimore, Maryland, was named in honor of Mr. Dewberry.
